TJ was born in the city of Boston, Massachusetts. He began his artistic endeavors due to the encouragement of his amazingly supportive parents. He spent almost all of his time as a child playing music and drawing. The growth of his abilities eventually carried him to Morrow High school in Georgia where he studied Fine Arts. It was at this point in his career that he first picked up a tattoo machine, a gift from his cousin Vincent Evans , and consequently he set down his musical instruments. This experience forced a dramatic change in his life. He immediately began tattooing all of his friends and got some of his earliest pieces published immediately. TJ went to school in Georgia during the weekdays, tattooed at night, and drove to Riverdale on the weekends. He continued this compulsive workaholism for the next couple of years and counting.
It was also in Georgia ,that TJ did a formal apprenticeship, to learn all facets of sterilization, tattooing, piercing, scarification, body suspension, and branding under the close supervision of Big Will of Big Willie Style Tattoos in Riverdale,Georgia . After completing his apprenticeship and school, he set out on a mission to explore the medium of tattooing and the lifestyle that the art form affords.
